2021 Christmas Memorial Wreath

Christmas trees and wreaths have become a part of our tradition in celebrating the birth of Jesus. The tradition, over the years, has produced symbols to remind us of the birth of Jesus and God’s love for us. The evergreen is a symbol of everlasting life. The star on top of the tree represents the Star of Bethlehem, which guided the Wise Men. The lights represent Jesus as the Divine Light that every Christian should follow, like the Wise Men. The gift bow symbolizes Christians’ commitment to everlasting goodwill. The candy cane is the shepherd’s crook that helps bring back the lost sheep. In addition, the wreath is symbolic of the eternal love from God to all faithful persons.

In the spirit of the Advent season, we invite you to consider memorializing your family or loved one on one of our beautiful Christmas wreaths that will line the outside of the Prep Campus. The name of your family or loved one will be memorialized on each Christmas wreath, as a reminder—to our Prep Family—of your friendship and partnership with Saint Peter’s Prep. These names will also be prayed over during our Memorial Mass in January 2023, which will also be live-streamed.

The wreaths will be installed on campus in December. All participants will receive a photo of their wreath as a memory of this special moment.

We're sorry, the deadline for buying tickets for this event has passed.
